Quartz RosettesBy Bernardo Cesare
Scarf / sarong
A rocking collection!
A microscopic image of this beautiful stone.
This is a small piece of the semiprecious stone from Madagascar called Ocean Jasper. Ocean Jasper typically contains spherical aggregates - “orbs” - that form from alteration of former lava flows. In this sample the orb is made of tiny crystals of quartz mimicking flowers. That’s why they’re called “rosettes”.
