Serpentine Veins 2By Bernardo Cesare
£60 RRP: £120
Despite the great variations of colors, this photo shows only two minerals: black magnetite and colored serpentine.Serpentine is very common in rocks that once formed ocean floors, and now are found in mountain chains. This serpentine-rich rock comes from near Saint Florent in Corsica, and displays the arrangement of the mineral in thin elongate textures called “veins”.
