Sir Nils Olav, Edinburgh zoo's most famous penguin has been captured in the happiest of spirits by artist Martin Aveling. We could not resist having him on our luxury scarves this season.

Moving up the ranks, he is now Brigadier Sir Nils Olav, the mascot and colonel in chief of the Norwegian King's guard.
